Karen has been educating children for over 20 years.
She is an accomplished Special Educator and Learning Specialist. She holds a B.S. in Special Education from Fitchburg State University and a Masters in Special Education from Framingham State University. She raised two children who went through the Wellesley school system and graduated from WHS.
Karen has a deep understanding of child development, and
her scaffolding and multisensory teaching style consistently lead to positive experiences for all types of students who are learning to read or to organize their learning. She has primarily worked with students who have severe to moderate language-based learning disabilities as well as students on the autism spectrum.
Karen recognized a need for individual reading and organizational tutoring for "atypical" students which provides more individualized support and enrichment for students.
